Reservation Policy


The Cat House in the Mound Maine Coons

Thank you for your interest in one of our Maine Coon kittens! We are committed to placing our kittens in loving, responsible homes and strive to make the reservation process simple and transparent.





Deposits


A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price.

Deposits are only accepted once kittens are available or when a spot on our waiting list has been offered.





Waiting List


Our waiting list is maintained on a first-come, first-served basis. Placement is secured only after a deposit has been received.

Buyers will be contacted in the order deposits are received when kittens become available.





Kitten Selection


Kittens are selected in order of the waiting list. We will notify you when it is your turn to choose based on availability, preferences, and suitability.

We reserve the right to guide placements to ensure the best match for both the kitten and the buyer.




Non-Refundable Deposit Policy
 

All deposits are non-refundable. This is due to the time, care, and resources invested in each kitten.

However, deposits may be:
Transferred to a future litter (one-time transfer, if agreed upon), or
Applied to another available kitten at the sole discretion of the Seller.



Remaining Balance


The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to or at the time of pickup/delivery. Payment details and accepted methods will be outlined in your purchase agreement.




Right to Refuse Sale


We reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time if we feel a placement is not in the best interest of the kitten. In such cases, any deposit may be refunded at the Seller’s discretion.




Communication


We pride ourselves on open communication and will keep you updated throughout the process with photos, updates, and important milestones as your kitten grows.

Pickup & Delivery Policy


The Cat House in the Mound Maine Coons

We are happy to offer both local pickup and delivery options to help ensure a smooth and safe transition for your new kitten.





Pickup Information


Kittens are typically ready to go to their new homes between 12–14 weeks of age, once they have been properly weaned, socialized, and received appropriate veterinary care.

Pickup will take place at a mutually agreed-upon location in Middle Tennessee.

Buyers will be notified in advance to schedule a convenient pickup date and time.





Delivery Options


Delivery may be available depending on location for an additional fee.

Delivery options may include:
Personal delivery by us
Meeting at a mutually agreed-upon public location

Ground transport (when appropriate)



Delivery fees vary based on distance and travel requirements and will be discussed prior to finalizing arrangements.




Final Payment


The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to or at the time of pickup or delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods will be outlined in your purchase agreement.





Health at Time of Pickup


All kittens will leave our care in good health, with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.

Buyers are responsible for scheduling a veterinary check within 72 hours of receiving their kitten, as outlined in our health guarantee.





Responsibility After Pickup


Once the kitten leaves our care, the Buyer assumes full responsibility for the kitten, including transportation, care, and well-being.




Delayed Pickup


If a Buyer is unable to pick up their kitten on the agreed date:
Advance notice is required
Boarding may be available for an additional fee
We reserve the right to make alternate arrangements if delays are excessive
